Principal's Message

"We cannot always build the future for our youth, but we can build our youth for the future."
— Franklin D. Roosevelt
At Peck, we believe that every child deserves to be seen, heard, and celebrated. As Principal, I am deeply committed to creating a school culture where intentionality drives every interaction with students, families, and our community. Our mission is to ensure that every student is connected to at least one caring adult on campus, fostering a sense of belonging, validation, and purpose.
We are equally committed to high-quality instruction in every classroom, every day, by every teacher. Excellence in teaching is the foundation of student success, and we support our educators through ongoing professional development, collaborative planning, and a shared vision for academic rigor and joyful learning.
With over 11 years of experience turning around schools in Houston and Detroit, I’ve seen firsthand the transformative power of strong relationships and high expectations. My journey has also taken me across borders, training international school leaders in operations and teacher development for three years and designing curriculum for an international EdTech company for five years. Most recently, I had the privilege of serving as a Principal Apprentice at Woodson PK-5 Elementary through the HISD Principal Academy, where I deepened my commitment to equity, instructional excellence, and community engagement.
At Peck, we are intentional in how we engage with our families. We don’t just invite parents to the event; we invite them into the heart of our school’s story. We create opportunities for families and community members to partner with us, ensuring that every experience is meaningful and lasting.
Together, we are building a school where growth is celebrated, voices are valued, and every child is prepared not just for the next grade but for the future.
